Boston Engagement: Lissette and Dayron

Congratulations to our Engagement Contest Winner:  Lissette and Dayron.  Their engagement story was so sweet, romantic, and full of surprises.  Dayron and Lissette met during their senior year of high school and they have been inseparable ever since.  They grew up in Miami and are getting married in their lovely hometown this year.  I received Lissette and Dayron’s engagement story and imagined all the planning Dayron had done to make this day very special and memorable for Lissette.  He convinced her to go to Michigan to see an auto show and she went along with the plan without question.  Once they arrived in Detroit, Dayron surprised her with a connecting flight to Paris.  She was happy and excited and thought that this was a very nice birthday present for her.  They spent a week in Paris and on their very last night, they decided to go to the Champ de Mars to watch the magical Eiffel Tower light up.  Right around midnight, Dayron got on one knee and proposed to Lissette.  It took her completely by surprise and they are now looking forward to their wedding day.

Our engagement session couldn’t have been more perfect.  Although it happened in the middle of winter in New England, we ended up with a beautiful day in Boston for our Valentine’s Day themed Engagement session.  Lissette and Dayron were excited throughout the day and spontaneous about walking around Boston in February. Their love for each other was obvious as they shared laughters throughout their engagement session. I am also so glad to have had this opportunity to work together with May Chin and Love is Events.  May did Lissette’s hair and makeup for our shoot and Love is Events styled our engagement session.  It made my job a lot easier when the bride-to-be seemed so relaxed and May was able to make her feel beautiful and confident for our session.  Lissette couldn’t stop commenting about how much she loved her hair and make up for her the day. Gina and Lilian, the two very creative ladies of Love is Events, came to the shoot with a ton of ideas and a lot of DIY props.  Their attention to detail allowed me to capture Lissette and Dayron’s lovely engagement story as they brought macaroons, an Eiffel Tower ring holder, a suitcase, and books about Paris.  We walked pass the Massachusetts State House to Beacon Hill and ended our session in the Boston Public Garden.
